Filmwochenende 14.03. bis 17.03.2013

The movie program is online

All information on movies and dates can be found on the website as of now. A table of every film is listed under the user-friendly menu item “Programm 2013”, where the list can be organized by the following characteristics:

  • Genre (feature film, documentary, key subject, kid’s and teen movie, et cetera)
  • Country of Origin
  • Screening Location
  • Date

The option of searching full-text is also available. An abstract and a picture detailing the respective movie, as well as a link to the official trailer on YouTube, can be found by clicking on “details”. A new feature of the website will be its optimization for smartphones at the launch of the festival. In addition, the printed program is now available at familiar outlets. Multiple entry tickets can still be purchased there as well.

Program 2013

The 39th „Internationale Filmwochenende Würzburg“ takes place March 14-17, 2013. Approximately 50 international productions of all genres will be on view in the city. In the tradition of the event, numerous filmmakers – directors, actors and producers – will gather in Würzburg to present their work in person and engage in discussions with the audience.
This year’s topical focus is on “Flight, Asylum, Emigration”. The organizers offer a substantial program on these subjects, consisting of feature films, documentaries, and kid’s movies. Additionally, panel discussions and conversations with the respective directors and protagonists are scheduled.
Early in March you’ll be able to consult the entire program of the “Filmwochende” on this website, while tickets can already be purchased at familiar outlets. The organizers of the long-standing festival – the “Filminitiative Würzburg e. V.” – are pleased to screen a diverse film program for its audience, detached from the cinematic mainstream and without thematic or formal limitations.
